Swisher ESP Safety Shelter – 14 Person Residential Capacity

The Swisher ESP Safety Shelter has been rigorously tested at the National Wind Institute at Texas Tech University. During testing, it withstood 9 impacts from 15 lb 2x4s traveling at 100 mph—simulating the force of an EF5 tornado with 250 mph winds.

This above-ground shelter meets or exceeds all requirements set by NSSA, FEMA 320, and ICC-500. It provides comprehensive protection against both severe weather and man-made threats, ensuring the safety of you and your loved ones.

⚠️ Note: This shelter is not waterproof.

Each Swisher ESP Safety Shelter is compliant with National Storm Shelter Association (NSSA) standards. It will meet or exceed FEMA P320/P361 and ICC-500 codes when installation is performed according to the provided guidelines. A detailed installation checklist is included for easy setup.

Designed by Registered Structural Engineers and reviewed by third-party experts, this Made in the USA shelter is built to withstand extreme tornado conditions. It also offers a “safe zone” against home invasions, allowing critical time for emergency responders to arrive.

Product Return Policy

Swisher Product Return Policy

  • All items must be returned within 30 days from the date they were received.
  • All items must be in original packaging and not altered or damaged in any way.
  • There will be a 25% restocking fee for all items returned.
  • Before returning an item, the customer must call SAI Customer Service at 1-800-222-8183 for an RMA number.
  • The RMA number must be visible on the outside of the return packaging.
  • All return freight is the responsibility of the customer.
  • All credit refunds will appear on the credit card statement once the items are returned and processed.  Please allow 5-7 business days for the credit to be complete.
  • SAI reserves all rights in making the final decision if an item should and will be returned, or if the return is not deemed necessary.  If there are any questions regarding the return policy, please contact an SAI representative and they will be happy to assist you.
