Swisher ESP Safety Shelter – 9 Person Residential Capacity

The Swisher ESP Safety Shelter has been rigorously tested and passed certification at the National Wind Institute at Texas Tech University. It withstood 9 high-impact strikes from 15 lb 2x4s launched at 100 mph, which simulates the devastating power of an EF5 tornado with 250 mph winds.

This above-ground ESP (Emergency – Security – Preparedness) Safety Shelter is engineered to meet or exceed all standards set by NSSA, FEMA 320, and ICC-500. It delivers multi-purpose protection for you and your loved ones, shielding against severe weather and man-made threats.

⚠️ Note: This shelter is not waterproof.

Each ESP Shelter is verified to comply with National Storm Shelter Association (NSSA) standards and will meet or exceed FEMA P320/P361 and ICC-500 code requirements when properly installed. A step-by-step installation checklist is included with every unit.

Designed by Registered Structural Engineers, each shelter goes through a strict third-party review process. Product Return Policy

Swisher Product Return Policy

  • All items must be returned within 30 days from the date they were received.
  • All items must be in original packaging and not altered or damaged in any way.
  • There will be a 25% restocking fee for all items returned.
  • Before returning an item, the customer must call SAI Customer Service at 1-800-222-8183 for an RMA number.
  • The RMA number must be visible on the outside of the return packaging.
  • All return freight is the responsibility of the customer.
  • All credit refunds will appear on the credit card statement once the items are returned and processed.  Please allow 5-7 business days for the credit to be complete.
  • SAI reserves all rights in making the final decision if an item should and will be returned, or if the return is not deemed necessary.  If there are any questions regarding the return policy, please contact an SAI representative and they will be happy to assist you.
