Designed for discreet installation, the X-400 fits into a single 2' x 2' ceiling tile opening, leaving only an attractive flush-mounted grille visible while the cabinet remains hidden above the ceiling. Its corrosion-resistant steel cabinet and compact footprint make it a practical solution for commercial buildings without sacrificing aesthetics.

The SmokeMaster X-400 utilizes a three-stage filtration process consisting of a washable metal mesh pre-filter, advanced electrostatic precipitation technology, and an optional activated carbon post filter. The electrostatic cells remove up to 97% of airborne contaminants such as tobacco smoke, dust, pollen, and other fine particles, while the optional carbon filter absorbs odors, gases, and VOCs for enhanced air purification.

Featuring Coanda 4-way air recirculation and a three-speed fan, the X-400 delivers airflow up to 400 CFM while maintaining quiet, energy-efficient operation. Washable electronic cells and reusable pre-filters reduce maintenance costs by eliminating the need for frequent filter replacements, making it an economical long-term solution for commercial air cleaning.

Inconspicuous Ceiling-Mounted Design

The SmokeMaster X-400 Air Cleaner is designed to be installed in the space of a single 2’ x 2’ ceiling tile opening. The attractive one-piece grille fits flush with the ceiling and is completely unobtrusive, while the cabinet is hidden in the space above the drop ceiling panel. This industrial air cleaner comes with special mounting brackets for a safe, secure, and simple installation process. With dimensions of 24” L x 24” W x 13 5/8” H, the X-400 commercial air cleaner has a sturdy and corrosion-resistant steel cabinet in a timeless off-white color to complement any room.

Superior Airflow and Filtration

Utilizing the Coanda 4-way air re-circulation, the X-400 smoke eater offers a superior 360-degree airflow performance that evenly distributes the heated or cooled air, while returning contaminated air to the unit. This air pattern creates a more comfortable atmosphere by producing constant slight air movement that also helps eliminate annoying drafts. With a coverage area of up to 400 square feet, this commercial air cleaner offers a 3-speed fan setting that generates up to 175 CFM at a low setting, 275 CFM at medium, and up to 400 CFM on high.

Effective at capturing particulate and gaseous contaminants, the SmokeMaster X-400 industrial air cleaner uses highly efficient air filtration and deodorization process to achieve the freshest air quality. First, the air passes through the washable Metal Mesh Pre-Filter which is designed to trap large particles such as hair, lint, and pollen before they can enter the electronic cell. Then it goes through an advanced process called Electrostatic Precipitation that removes over 97% of airborne contaminants on each pass. The contaminant particles, such as those in tobacco smoke, receive electrical charges as they pass into the electronic cell and are forced to adhere to the oppositely charged collector plates. The final stage comprises an Activated Carbon Filter (sold separately) that absorbs odors, VOCs, and gases to further freshen the air.
