Description

Ventis HEI170 27-Inch Black Wood Fireplace Medium Insert, EPA 2020 Certified

The Ventis HEI170 is a medium-sized wood-burning fireplace insert designed to upgrade an existing masonry fireplace with efficient wood heat and classic styling. Its durable black steel construction, cast iron-framed ceramic glass door, refractory brick-lined firebox, and 1.9 cubic-foot capacity provide a solid foundation for reliable wood-burning performance.

The non-catalytic combustion system uses a stainless steel secondary-air system and air-wash technology to support cleaner burning and a clearer view of the fire. A heat-activated 144 CFM blower is included to help distribute warmth, while the vermiculite baffle and ceramic glass contribute to efficient and controlled operation.

EPA 2020 certified, the HEI170 can heat approximately 500 to 1,800 square feet and produces up to 65,000 BTU/h when burning seasoned cordwood. It accepts logs up to 18 inches and uses a 6-inch flue outlet, making it suited for installations where the required masonry fireplace opening and liner specifications are met.
